FACES OFF THE FIELD
Javian Johnson

MCNEIL Basketball, SENIOR

What is your favorite Basketball memory?

My favorite memory was eighth grade, when I got my first dunk in a game.

What kind of season do you expect from McNeil?

Another great season, like in the past.

Why is McNeil good at Basketball almost every year?

We come hungry and leave happy when we play.

Outside of Basketball, what are you looking forward to this year?

I'm looking forward to college Basketball.

If you could choose any four people - living or dead - to have dinner with, who would you choose?

God, MLK Jr., Amare Stoudemire and Michael Jordan.

What will you be doing in 10 years?

I will be settled down with a good job.

If you had a choice of being All-State or valedictorian, which would you choose?

I'd be All-State.

Do you have a pre-game regimen?

I like to get quiet and imagine I'm in the game, and the work I need to do in it.

Tell something about Anthony that most people don't know.

He tries to be a rapper.

Anthony Davenport

MCNEIL Basketball, SENIOR

What is your favorite Basketball memory?

My favorite Basketball memory would be when I had a career-high of 30 points.

Who's your all-time favorite Basketball player?

Chauncey Billups (of the Denver Nuggets), because he controls the speed of the game. He can dish, score whenever.

Why is McNeil always good in Basketball?

We are willing to work hard and strive to be the best.

What class that you've taken will benefit you the most after you graduate?

Well, as of right now, I'm not taking a specific class - just trying to keep my GPA up.

If you could choose any four people - living or dead - to have dinner with, who would you choose?

God, my mom, Chauncey Billups and LeBron James.

What will you be doing in 10 years?

I don't know. Maybe married. Who knows?

If you had a choice of being All-State or valedictorian, which would you choose?

I'd be valedictorian.

Are you superstitious about anything?

Not really.

Tell something about Javian that most people don't know.

There's probably a lot of stuff people don't know about Javian, but I would have to say my boy is hilarious at times.

- Rick Cantu
