--C Nene was wanted to rebound better this season, and he's delivering. Nene grabbed 12 boards Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers to raise his average to 9.2. Nene's career high was 7.8 last season. Nene has gotten double figures in rebounds for two straight games for the first time this season after grabbing 10 Tuesday against Toronto.
--G J.R. Smith, coming off a 29-point game Tuesday against Toronto, managed just nine points Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers, further showing his erratic nature as a player. At least Smith got going in the fourth quarter after having no points through three quarters.
--F Malik Allen, who has played sparingly this season, was called upon to play seven minutes Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers because of Chris Andersen being out because of a sore right knee. It wasn't much of a showing as Allen went scoreless and had just one rebound. His plus-minus rating was minus-18.
