Denver Nuggets Roster Report 2009-11-13

Denver Nuggets Roster Report 2009-11-13ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Chauncey Billups, Shooting guard Arron Afflalo, Small forward Carmelo Anthony, Power forward Kenyon Martin, Center Nene. Bench -- Center Chris Andersen, Guard J.R. Smith, Guard Ty Lawson, Guard Anthony Carter.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Kenyon Martin found the going tough on the second game of a back-to-back situation after missing 1-1/2 games due to a lower left leg contusion. Martin shot just 2-of-9 for nine points in 35 minutes Wednesday at Milwaukee. This followed Tuesday's game at Chicago, when Martin shot 7-of-15 for 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Martin had suffered a lower left leg contusion in the first half last Friday at Miami and sat out Saturday at Atlanta.

--C Chris Andersen still can't regain the form that enabled him to finish second in the NBA last season in blocked shots with a 2.46 average. Andersen blocked one shot Wednesday at Milwaukee, and is averaging just 1.22 blocks per game. During the offseason, Andersen re-signed with the Nuggets, getting a five-year deal that will be worth at least $21 million.

--F Carmelo Anthony had "run out of gas," according to Nuggets coach George Karl, on the sixth and final game of a road trip Wednesday at Milwaukee. Anthony scored 32 points, but he shot just 9-of-25 and committed seven turnovers. But Anthony did grab 10 rebounds.
