Around the league - Rose helps send Bulls past Sixers
PHILADELPHIA - Derrick Rose seems unfazed by the rigorous NBA schedule.

In the final stop on a seven-game, 12-day road trip which began Nov. 18 in Los Angeles against the Lakers, the 20-year-old No. 1 overall pick in the draft out of the University of Memphis still had plenty of energy.

Ben Gordon scored 21 points, Drew Gooden had 20 points and 12 rebounds and the Chicago Bulls rallied for a 103-92 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday.

Rose contributed 18 points and 10 assists, reaching double figures in assists for the first time this season. Reserve Larry Hughes had 16 points for the Bulls (8-9), who won for only the third time in 10 games on the road.

All three of Chicago's road wins came during this stretch.

"We got the ball in his hands in transition and he was finding guys," Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro said of Rose.

Rose entered the game averaging 5.8 assists, the best mark among rookies.

"I'm feeling good and taking it game by game," said Rose, who played a team-high 40 minutes. "We're moving the ball and finding the open person. We're playing team Basketball and that's what it's all about."

Elton Brand had 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Thaddeus Young (Mitchell High) added 17 points for the reeling Sixers, who have lost four straight to fall to 7-10. Andre Miller had 15 points and 10 assists, and Willie Green chipped in with 12 points.

Other games

Trail Blazers 96, Pistons 85 at Auburn Hills, Mich.: LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points and Greg Oden had a career-high 13 rebounds for Portland.

Detroit fell to just 6-6 since Allen Iverson joined the team. Richard Hamilton had 18 for the Pistons.

Nuggets 104, Rockets 94 at Denver: Chauncey Billups scored 28 points for Denver. Houston played its third straight game without injured star Tracy McGrady (sore left foot). The Nuggets were without Carmelo Anthony (sore elbow).

Nets 117, Suns 109 at Phoenix: Devin Harris scored a career-high 47 points, including 21 in the fourth quarter, and New Jersey ended its 14-game losing streak at Phoenix by rallying to beat the Suns.

The Nets had not won at US Airways Center since their first visit in 1993, but they used a late run to overcome the Suns.

With Harris becoming the second player in two games to score more than 40 against the Suns - Miami's Dwyane Wade had 43 Friday night - the Nets scored their second road victory in two nights, after beating Utah on Saturday.

Lakers 112, Raptors 99 at Los Angeles: Former Grizzlies player Pau Gasol had 24 points and nine rebounds, and Kobe Bryant had 23 points and seven assists before sitting out the fourth quarter as Los Angeles beat Toronto.
